Christmas Fun

There is just something about being at the Inn at Christmas. With all the many lights glowing indoor and out, the Christmas tree adorned in beautiful ornaments, and a crackling fire roaring to warm all, it is just a wonderous place to experience this time of year.  Dan and I had a party with friends last night, and it was such a joy to see everyone gathered in the main common area laughing and having a great time, all the while enjoying the warmth and coziness of the Inn.  It is an amazing place for me to be right now, but oh so much better to invite others to enjoy all  it's wonder as well.  Kristen

'Tis The Season!

What a wonderful time of the year.  We love Christmas at the Inn and look forward to hosting several celebrations in the coming days.  The Inn is festive and decorated beautifully, and the sounds of the season playing throughout the day have put me in the Christmas spirit!

I'm a movie buff and have enjoyed watching some of my seasonal favorites already...White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, Little Women to name a few.  Our DVD library has an extensive selection of Christmas classics as well as some new favorites...the Santa Claus movies, Polar Express, Christmas With the Kranks and others.

Kristen and I are thankful for all who have stayed with us this year, and look forward to seeing many of you again in the year ahead as well as meeting those who will be visiting us for the first time!

May you each have a Christmas filled with joy!  Linda

Big Wine Tasting Weekend--After Thanksgiving

You'd think shopping was the only thing to do after Thanksgiving, but here in Oregon's Yamhill Valley where the majority of wineries reside, Friday-Sunday after Thanksgiving is one the busiest wine tasting weekends of the year. The B&B has been full with guests who will take advantage of this fun weekend, and taste wines from many wineries even from those who are normally not open. We've sent guests to wineries that are nearby and ones far out, most charging slightly higher tasting fees to include a logo glass for keepsake and/or will serve tasty appetizers. It's always great to hear the stories from our guests about their wine tasting experiences. We learn much from them! Kristen & Linda

Favorite Pick B&B by The Oregonian

We're very excited that The Oregonian newspaper selected The DreamGiver's Inn as favorite pick for the North Willamette Valley Region of Oregon's Wine Country!  We were featured in The Oregonian's guide to exploring wine country this week.  You can read the article at OregonLive.com.  Thank you for your support!!  Linda & Kristen

Cool Nights and a Warm, Cozy Fire

There's a chill in the air and a fire in the fireplace!  This is one of my favorite times of year... the beautiful fall colors, the crisp cool mornings and evenings with a good book and cup of tea are perfect.  Many of our guests have commented on the sights, sounds and smell of the crackling fire that is burning most days during the fall and winter months.  The aroma of my special baked oatmeal and freshly baked cinnamon coffee cake is another delight of the season.  It's a great time of year to plan a time of rest and relaxation at the Inn! Linda

Harvest Time In Wine Country!

Our neighbor and owner of McKinlay Vineyards, winemaker Matt Kinne, was up at daybreak today, organizing his crew to gather the grapes. My guests and I were excited to see all the activity and grabbed our cameras to snap some great pictures before sitting down to breakfast of baked apple strudel French toast, smoked chicken & apple sausage and a refreshing fruit, yogurt & granola parfait.

We're hoping Matt has a very bountiful harvest for more of his wonderful Pinot noir!

We're # 1 (at least on TripAdvisor!)

We have just been rated #1 on TripAdvisor by guests who've reviewed B&B's in the Newberg, Oregon (wine country) area. This is a popular, independent website where guests give their opinions after they stay in a hotel, motel or bed and breakfast.

Guests often compliment the Inn on our beautiful views or decor, but they also highlight how great Linda is, who to me, truly makes it all come together. Linda has a passion to make sure our guests' visits are the best and most memorable for them. Here are some behind the scene "things" she does as Innkeeper: makes lots of dinner reservations, secures tee times for golf, lines up massages, maps out wine tasting routes or helps with private wine tastings, prepares warm, crackling fires in fall/winter mornings, readies freshed brewed coffee and breads each morning for early risers, assists guests with their excursions to Portland, the coast or beautiful Mt. Hood. And there is so much more Linda does--and she does them all with heart and kindness. It's truly her passion and hospitality gifting that keeps her going. And now TripAdvisor reviewers seem to see all this, too! Thank you Linda--you are a wonderful friend and business partner :) Kristen
